Why Glass?

We knew from the beginning that glass is a preferred and safe surface.

So, when we spotted the Libre design with a glass interior and clear strong outer we knew it was a winner!! Once we added in the removable, stainless steel filter the design of the Libre was complete!

What I know for sure is there are no leftover smells or tastes!
It wipes clean, with soapy water it will even squeak its so clean. Every drink has a fresh taste, even when tea follows coffee!
No germs either!

This is further backed up by the fact that glass has non-porous surface - so no bacteria or smells can linger.

Many reliable sources cite glass as the safest surface to drink from . An excerpt from the example here is '“Glass would be the best [safety-wise] if it wouldn’t break,” said John Swartzberg, a clinical professor at the University of California at Berkeley School of Public Health and the chair of the editorial board for the school’s wellness newsletter. 

"Because glass is made of natural materials, there is no danger of inorganic chemicals leaching into liquids when it’s heated or cooled." (Washington Post)

The Libre inner glass is Borosilicate glass... so it is also lead and BPA-free, making it perfectly safe for use as drinking glasses. True borosilicate glass is actually safer than tempered soda-lime glass, which is what many companies currently use to make kitchenware. (Source)
