The weather is getting warmer and whether at work or home we are often looking for something cold to put in our Libre Tea glasses. With the Libre glass interior and durable poly exterior they are perfect for keeping our iced tea and herbal infusions cold.
Herbal infusions are easy to make and good for you too. You can infuse water with any number of herbs, spices, edible flowers, fruit and vegetables!
- apple, pears, plum and mint
- banana and nectarine
- blackberries, raspberries and strawberries
- carrots, apple, lemon and ginger
- cherries, lime and mint
- cucumber, dill, celery, lemon and mint
- honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon and mint
- lemon, orange and ginger
- tangerine, pear, green pepper and cilantro
Once you have chosen which fruits, herbs and/or vegetables you are going to use, wash them and slice the fruit and veggies.
Drop them into your Libre Tea glass add water and ice and let steep. The longer it sits, the more flavorful the water will be. Some fruits or herbs will infuse more quickly than others. Citrus is pretty instant, berries take a few hours, herbs take a little longer, and vegetables a little more.
Making your own infusion ensures you’re receiving natural occurring vitamins, minerals, antioxidants. Were as store bought infused water often include preservatives, artificial sweeteners, added vitamins/minerals, artificial colourings, sodium and sugars.
